Health Happiness for your Inner Goddess

I was recently asked ... How come you want to lose weight at your age?

My answer - Because I want to live the rest of my life the way that I want to, not the way that I need to.

Middle-Age comes up on us quicker than we realize, and before we know it, we are over 100 lbs overweight, diagnosed with diabetes and living a unhealthy, inactive, overweight lifestyle.

We are missing out on some (not all-mind you, but some) of the joys of life - like fitting on an amusement park ride next to our child, or sunbathing at the ocean, or going for that spectacular scenery hike. All this joy is passing us by each day, just because we are held back in our unhealthy, overweight bodies.

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter how we look on the outside, but how we feel on the inside that matters. Do I feel healthy? Do I feel active? Do I feel good? Do I feel happy? Do I feel motivated? If the answer is No - absolutely not, then it is time to make some much needed changes to our mental and physical bodies.

Losing 100 lbs or more can feel overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be an uphill climb all the time. Just ask yourself this one question every single morning:

Do I want to live the rest of my life the way that I want to, or the way that I need to?

Wanting to live the way that I want with a healthy body, not the way that I need to because of my bodies restrictions from being overweight.
