Feedback...
Like it or Don’t like it? You decide. Feedback can feel like a good thing, or a bad thing. Depends on the source! Family and friends can say things to you with good meaning or with good intentions, but it doesn’t always come off that way to you. They do mean well and want only the best for you out of love and concern. But sometimes you just don’t want to listen anymore or take their advice. You have to sort things out for yourself, and they sometimes become a broken record that you just don’t want to listen to anymore.
You know what you need to do, and you don’t want to be reminded of it constantly all the time. You need to do your own research and figure out what works best for you! When you are ready to begin your journey, you will. You just have to be in the right mindset to move forward. No one can make that decision for you, and no one knows when that right time might be except for you!
Taking one day at a time and gaining the knowledge you need should be on your own terms.
Listening to good advice, however, should not be ignored either. When your health happiness is at stake, only your friends, family and Doctor can help you through that. So, don’t shut out all of their advice. They only want to help you achieve your goals to become healthy and live a long healthy life! But tell them in a loving way, that you appreciate all the advice they give you, but only you can act on that advice and only when you are ready to make those steps will you receive it in a positive way. You need to have a healthy mind to make healthy physical changes, and only you know when you are ready to make them!
If feedback is on your to do list, then welcome it! Gaining knowledge from someone who has been where you are, or who is going through what you are going through is a real benefit to you on your journey. Gaining feedback from professionals helps you gain the knowledge you need to continue on your own health happiness quest. When you are struggling, feedback is the most important gift you can receive. Knowledge and feedback are powerful tools to keep you focused on where you want to be going. It also helps to prevent you from sliding backwards.
It is so satisfying to hear great feedback from the people in your lives! When you make the right choices and follow the right path on your journey, feedback is the best information you can get. But remember your own terms for receiving it. Don’t get too caught up in what others think, or what they think you should be doing, only you can decide for yourself what your plan of action is.
Only you can decide what will or wont work for you! Just because someone else has achieved their successes in a specific way, does not mean their way will work for you! To be successful, you may have to try all kinds of different plans, not necessarily what everyone else has done. It may even take you a few different plans and choices to find what fits and works the best for you.
So, don’t be discouraged if the feedback you are receiving isn’t what you want right now. Any feedback is worth listening to at this point. Just be yourself on the way that you receive it, and let others know, that you are on your own journey, not theirs, that you appreciate their love and support, but that YOU GOT THIS!
