Ingredients:
3 Cups all-purpose flour, divided
¼ Cup sugar
1 .25 package quick-acting rise yeast
1 Cup warm water (temp should be between 120-130 degrees)
3 T extra-virgin olive oil
2 tsp salt
Olive oil or Melted Butter to brush on top
Rosemary, crushed garlic (optional) (mix with oil or melted butter)
Directions:
Spray one loaf pan with cooking spray. In a re-sealable plastic bag, place 1 cup flour, sugar and yeast. Add the warm water. (make sure temp is between 120-130 degrees) (I used a meat thermometer) 😊
Seal the bag and squish together with your hands to mix. Let rest 10 minutes at room temperature.
Add 1 cup flour, oil and salt to the bag, then seal and squish together.
Add the remaining cup of flour and mix until combined. Remove from the bag (will be sticky – flour hands first) and knead 5 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough into the loaf pan and cover with a kitchen towel and let rise. (Approx. 2 hours until doubled in size)
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Brush the top of the bread with olive oil or melted butter (add crushed garlic & rosemary if desired) and bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
