Dream. Set Goal. Action.
If you can dream it, you can achieve it.
If you can set a goal, you can achieve it.
If you can set them both in action, you can achieve it.
Focus on all three and you are on your way! Dreams can become reality. Goals can become reality. Acting on them can become reality.
How do you do all three?
Start with a purpose!
You just need to follow the right direction to get started.
How do you get started you ask? From listening to your heart and learning from past experiences. You know what has worked for you and you also know what hasn’t worked for you, right? What does your gut tell you? Following your dreams and setting goals can be one in the same!
Have you tried putting your dreams as your actual goals? No matter how hard you may think it is to do that, you can put them both into action. Sometimes just setting one goal at a time and acting on it will take you one more step closer to your dream!
So, how do I set a goal?
Setting “SMART” Goals is a good way to stay on track with fitness and wellness goals.
1. SET YOUR GOAL. “What do I want”? “Why do I want this”?, “When do I want it by”?
2. IDENTIFY GOAL CONFLICTS. Setting more than one? Set your priorities. One at a time. Make sure one does not hinder another.
3. MAKE NECESSARY SACRIFICES. Every goal requires a sacrifice. Whether it be your time, energy, money, or something else. Be prepared.
4. ASSESS POTENTIAL OBSTACLES. Define what could hinder or help you achieve these. What could be in your way? Or who???
5. DEVELOP AN ACTION PLAN. Break you goal(s) down into smaller actions and try to take daily action.
6. FIND YOUR MOTIVATION. Pursue your inner goddess and drive. Move forward at a rapid pace, but not so fast that you forget why you are doing this in the first place.
So, how do I implement such goals?
You can do all the necessary groundwork first, but if you don’t follow through with one step of achieving your goal on a daily basis you will fail.
It will take a lot of hard work and persistence on your part.
You need to fully commit yourself to making it happen to the very end.
Implement one step at a time. Try not to overwhelm yourself with the end picture. Just take one day at a time and don’t give up!
Dream, set goal, action, achievement!
