Making the right food choices is so beneficial to your mind and body and overall health wellness. Eating right will help you lose weight, yes. But eating right has so many more health benefits why would you choose not to?
That is a question I have asked myself over and over again through the years. Why did I keep putting all the wrong foods into my mouth? Sugar, Carbs, High fats. They only made me gain a ton of weight and made me feel like crap over the years, but I kept doing it over and over.
So Why Do We Do It? You don’t realize the power that sugar has over your mind. Carbs turn into sugar and sugar makes you feel good. No wonder why so many of us are hooked on all the wrong food choices. But the feel good we feel, only lasts for a brief period, while the weight we gained lasts a lifetime!
And we constantly beat ourselves up about the weight gain. Promising ourselves over and over that we will make better choices and lose the weight. But even though we are thinking of losing the weight, and how unhappy we are with all the gains. We only focus on the extra weight on our bodies, and we forget to focus on what other damages to our health we have done besides the extra weight gain.
Damage to our brains, to our lungs, to our hearts, our kidneys, our liver. Our sleep patterns, our energy or lack of. Our aging process, our skins health. You name it. Constantly making the wrong food choices does a lot of damage to our bodies. But the good news is we can help make all those bad choices go away.
By simply changing what we eat, we can heal ourselves from the inside out.
Is it really that easy? You darn well bet it is! You don’t have to go all hog wild though and make a drastic change all at once! Just by changing your eating habits a little at a time, one day at a time will make all the difference in your over-all long time health goals!
All the times we have been told as youngins – if you don’t eat your veggies – there will be no dessert for you!
We focused so much on getting those sweets, that we didn’t focus on why we needed to eat all our vegetables in the first place! To keep our bodies healthy, to feel good. To live a long life. Don’t we all want that? Of course, we do!
Just change one bad thing you put in your mouth for one good thing, and you are on your way to kicking that sugar eating addiction and to feeling 100% better!
The benefits of a better diet will change the way you think and feel!
How do vegetables help with your body? A diet rich in vegetables and fruits can lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, prevent some types of cancer, lower risk of eye and digestive problems, and have a positive effect upon blood sugar, which can help keep your appetite in check. Vegetables are a good source of dietary fiber, a type of carbohydrate that helps pass food through your digestive system. The better digestion, the better you feel!
Start today with making better food choices! You can do it! One day at a time!
