Go the extra mile!

Updated: Aug 19

Always looking for the easy way to achieve our goals, is well just too easy! Anything that we don't have to work really hard for will not last. Well, most of the time that is!

I'm not saying that everything we want to accomplish in our lives is hard, or even has to be hard. But some things we do need to go that extra mile to achieve.

Weight loss for example. We may start out doing really great. The weight is falling off. We are finally exercising, or exercising more. We are eating healthier stuff. We are staying on track and finding success.

Then three quarters of the way through, we come to a standstill. The weight is getting even harder to fall off. We become tired of the same old exercise routine. The cold weather came in, and we stopped walking. We started getting lazy. We want to give up. Guilty of all this and more?

We were doing so great. It was hard at first, but then it became easy to stay on track when we saw the weight coming off. We were feeling so much better and then it just stalled. Why? Perhaps we have hit a weight loss plateau? Perhaps we just got too lazy? Perhaps we just didn't want to choose our hard any longer? Whatever the reason, now is not the time to give up. Now is not the time to stall in our progress. We need to go that extra mile right now, to reach the end. To reach our goal. Find your life line and hang onto it with all your might. Keep going that extra mile. It will be worth it in the end.

Your mind is working in overdrive. Let your body catch up. There is no fast track to losing weight. It takes time, it takes perseverance. It takes hard work and planning. Just because you are at a standstill, does not mean that you just give up! You have to keep going that extra mile to get over that hump and reach the top of your weight loss goals.

Your transformation is coming. Just accept that you have to work a little bit harder to become the new you. It will be worth all that extra effort you put in to becoming a healthier you.

Giving up has never been an option. Losing weight is hard, being overweight is hard. Choose your hard!

Say "YES" to going those extra miles!
