Set Intentions, not Resolutions.

Set Intentions, not Resolutions!

With the new year upon us, don’t you just hate seeing all those weight-loss commercials? I sure do. New Diet plans, weight loss surgery, prescription medication ads the list goes on and on. Think they are trying to tell us all something?

It’s not messages we haven’t heard time and time again. They really overload the airwaves with all kinds of solutions for weight loss, don’t they? Not to mention all of the ads being seen when Covid struck. Are you overweight? Are you obese? Then you really need this diet plan or surgery to get that weight off quick before Covid strikes you and you end up being hospitalized.

Yes, being overweight can be very damaging to your health. And yes, being overweight can hinder your ability to fight off all kinds of viruses. We all know this, don’t we?

So why do we every year at this time tell ourselves this is the year. This is the new resolution I am going to make. I am going to follow one of these plans and follow through this year. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Heard it all before. How many times have I convinced myself that this year is going to be different? But all that happens is I try the same things over and over each year and expect different results that just do not happen! Why do we do this to ourselves?

Because we just haven’t found what works for us yet. We decided to make our own health happiness journey, but we just don’t know what road to take to help us get started and progress.

We know this. Diet’s do not work. It is a lifestyle change we all need to make. Feeling better physically will make us feel better mentally as well. We just have to take the first step. Right foot in front of the left and keep on moving forward. Don’t listen to the ads. Listen to yourself. You know what you need to do. You know what doesn’t work for you. You know past diets you have been on. Did they work? No. Time to move on and figure out what finally does work. Stop making the same resolutions year after year, and just get out there and do what does work!

Can this finally be the year that works for you? Why yes, yes it most definitely is! Don't be afraid to fail. Be afraid not to try.

You go girl! You got this!
