Ingredients:
1-pound ground turkey
½ Cup chopped onion
½ Cup chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Can of red kidney beans
1 Can of Butter Beans
1 Cup water
3 Medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1 (6 ounce can) tomato paste
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp dried oregano leaves
½ tsp ground cumin
1/8 tsp ground red pepper
Directions:
In a large heavy pot, brown ground turkey; pour off any excess fat. Add onion, green pepper and garlic; cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add beans, water, tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, oregano, cumin and red pepper; cover. Simmer for 1 ½ hours, stirring occasionally.
Serve hot with crackers or corn bread!
